That’s really how this all started. My little idea to brew some ginger beer for our hand fasting anniversary snowballed into a brewery!

Gez and I have always loved creating together, we cook (he’s only slightly better than me) we bake, we brew. We always share as much as we can together and love to try new things. Ginger beer was a big part of our lives when we first met, and we both always lamented how few options there were to buy. Why couldn’t you have a ginger beer that had fire, flavour and alcohol?! Were we crazy? Were we the only ones that loved ginger beer?

Then something no one could have ever expected; we went into lockdown. Gez had been on the precipice of breaking through in the culinary world with his new menu launch (seriously, read the reviews) was suddenly without a kitchen to run and no assurances that it would ever open again. We were both furloughed, at home and, like so many others, trying to home school 2 children in different school stages and watch a rather cheeky 2 year old…. You need to know about mega moolah regeln. Yeah, we got a batch of ginger beer on! It was sat outside in the garden, drinking Aradia, that Gez told me he wanted us to do this, like, for real. I was dubious; it really couldn’t be that simple or easy right? But we realised that we had an amazing, perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity, to turn our little passion into a full time job; to not have him return to a kitchen working 70+ hours and actually be together, like we’d always dreamed

After trying a few batches, and getting some amazing feedback, we decided to make it happen and DMC Brewery was born! Its been a crazy journey, and often challenging journey. We’ve learned tonnes and are still learning so much, but above all, its been wonderful to realise that there are other folk out there that love ginger beer as much as we do!

We’ve also had the chance to meet and connect with some really cool people who have wanted to be involved in our journey and have amazing skillz to contribute,  for which we are always grateful, and promise to keep you stocked in ginger beer

Creating new, exciting flavours, changing how people view this amazing drink and a ginger beer revolution is what we are all about! So watch this space, be prepared for the new, weird and wonderful to appear and unite with ginger beer lovers across the world
